About the university

Founded in 1991, the Hamdard University is a non-profit private higher education institution located in the urban setting of the large metropolis of Karachi (population range of over 5,000,000 inhabitants), Sindh. This institution also has a branch campus in Islamabad. Officially recognized by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan, Hamdard University (HU) is a small-sized (uniRank enrollment range: 5,000-5,999 students) coeducational Pakistani higher education institution. Hamdard University (HU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor's degrees, master's degrees and doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 33-year-old Pakistani higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations and students' past academic records and grades. International students are welcome to apply for enrollment.
